28/05/09 ~ Nepal- update

After my visit to Nepal last year I feel compelled to spread congratulations to Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who returned this year to the mountain that tried to stop him twice before, finally conquering Everest on 21 May. He was climbing again for Marie Curie - Donate here.

30/04/09 ~ Scotland

A busy trip to Scotland rewarded this year with generally good weather, which actually made it difficult to get any spectacular photos. I walked the West Highland Way with my cave-dwelling friend Tony, celebrating with an early morning white-out jaunt up Ben Nevis... and some fish & chips.
A new film scanner is on the way so more images will make their way onto the site this summer. Apologies for the earlier empty promises - personal and technical issues relgated them to the bottom of the priorities.

12/10/08 ~ Libya

The Lee Hedley Blues Band were invited all the way to Libya to play a corporate gig in Tripoli and I was invited along to take pictures. A fantastic few days were spent in this rapidly expanding city, as well as visiting the nearby ruins at Sabratha. Our hosts Greenland Oil Services were incredibly welcoming; we were treated to some of the best sea-food and local cuisines, and given a driver who kept everyone alive trough the melee on the roads. As the first western band to play in the country for 30 years, the show was a great success!

01/05/08 ~ Nepal

I've just had the privilege of trekking to Everest Base Camp with one of Britain's leading high altitude mountaineers - Rob Casserley. Rob is joining Sir Ranulph Fiennes on his Everest summit attempt for Marie Curie Cancer Care. He will be filming the adventures and providing medical support. Rob's experience in the Himalaya and his love and respect for the Sherpa people made for an incredibly intimate and insightful trek. It also gave me the opportunity to test my new Nikon D300 in the field. Many thanks to Rob, Kev, Ang Nuru and the rest of our wonderful ensemble. Trumpie and Tanner, our thoughts are with you! Follow the Marie Curie team here.

12/12/07 ~ Home for Christmas

Now that my ferries finally made it through the bad weather and most of the gear is cleaned and stored, I have a moment to update you! A fantastic trip with hundreds of images about to be processed and poured over during Christmas. There was rather a lot to fit in with 4,500 miles on the road (and off), 3 multi-day hikes, 1 bout of sickness, 1 crash, much good food and many new friends. In the end it worked out very differently to my original intentions, but you go with the flow...as a first venture it was always going to be dynamic. Selected images will all be printed and digitised in the new year and placed in the gallery to truely launch twentyclicks!

23/10/07 ~ Hasta Luego!

I'll be in the field until the start of December shooting stock. My trusty Kawasaki is taking me through Spain and Morocco to the sites of 4 or 5 multi-day hikes. I'm keen to see the similarities in culture that the mountain areas of these two countries share and the images and stories presented by this overlooked time of year. Life on the road and under the stars should throw up some experiences of its own. As stated on the contacts page, I'll respond to urgent messages as soon as I receive them, but I'll not have frequent access so the majority will be dealt with immediately on my return. Thank you for your patience.
